Dr Fairris is an accredited Dermatologist and former NHS Consultant. In addition to his NHS work, he has run his own practice since 1989. He delivers all the services himself.
The services include: skin cancer screening and monitoring; surgery for skin cancers, melanoma and non-cancers; photodynamic therapy; all laser services (except tattoos and skin resurfacing); Botox, fillers (Restylane, Collagen and Sculptra), peels, sclerotherapy and treatment of acne scarring.
He has treated over 16,000 people in his own practice and many more while working for the NHS. Amongst those who have used his services and the local medical community, he enjoys a reputation for excellence of his care and the honesty and integrity with which it is delivered.
After passing the necessary post-graduate exams and completing four years training in Hospital Medicine, Dr Fairris spent eight years training with Dermatologists and Plastic Surgeons before working for thirteen years as an NHS consultant. While working as an NHS Consultant in Winchester and Southampton, he ran skin cancer screening clinics and specialised in the surgical treatment of facial skin cancer and malignant melanoma.
He has been using lasers since 1986, fillers and peels since 1991 and Botox since 1999. He continues to help develop treatments, organises medical education and speaks at local and national meetings.
