There’s a lot of stories on the TV about people who have gone abroad to have cosmetic surgery treatments, and I wa wondering if it was a cheaper option than having surgery here in the UK? Which countries are best to have a safe operation?
Although it is in many cases a cheaper option, having a surgical procedure overseas needs to be carefully considered. On the plus side, you can combine a relaxing break, away from the pressures of daily life, with a stay in one of the many overseas cosmetic surgery clinics across Europe which now attract a lot of visitors from the UK. You should however, ensure that at the consultation with the surgeon, that you check carefully that the surgeon is
(i)regulated in their country of operation
(ii) that you have the right level of medical insurance and
(iii) what aftercare will be available at the clinic.
