Men are also now more likely to have surgery – and that’s a trend that seems set to continue. BAAPS figures show that their members handled 2,440 cosmetic procedures on men in 2005, which represents enormous growth on the 1,092 carried out the previous year. Men were most likely to have nose jobs, following by work on their eyelids, their ears, liposuction and face or neck lifts.
“Men are catching up,” says Grover, “and 2007 will see a continued growth trend for male plastic surgery.”
